Senior Test Automation Engineer with JavaScript

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for the platform as a test engineer/software engineer in test

• Document testing status, platform readiness, and provide assessments to support project management

• Ensure stakeholders are informed of testing progress and address roadblocks for successful delivery

• Automate Web UI and REST API testing while creating specialized tests such as performance and post-deployment tests

• Collaborate with developers and analysts to validate features and functionality being tested

• Log and track issues in the bug tracking tool to monitor quality levels

• Prepare and support production releases of the application

• Foster an "automation first" culture among team members and promote practices that enhance testing efficiency

• Share knowledge, insights, and testing best practices to improve team capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a test engineer

• Knowledge of at least one programming language: JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python

• Background in UI and backend testing with a strong focus on delivering high-quality test solutions

• Understanding of technical and business contexts, including root-cause analysis for functionality failures or changes

• Familiarity with regression testing and automation suites leveraging TDD frameworks

• Proficiency in Scrum/Agile methodology

• Experience using CI/CD workflows

• Competency with cloud infrastructure such as Azure

• Capability to define key product indicators and use analytics to drive feature improvements

• Showcase of functional, performance, and exploratory testing methodologies applied successfully

• Ability to investigate and problem-solve efficiently

• B2 level of English or higher, with an emphasis on technical communication skills

Nice to have

• Willingness/experience in automating test scenarios in JavaScript using the Cypress framework
