Senior SAP PI/PO and Cloud Integration Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior SAP PI/PO and Cloud Integration Developer to join our team.

This role requires expertise in SAP Cloud Integration (CI) implementations and proficiency in designing, building, and optimizing enterprise integration solutions. You will play a pivotal role in migrating and modernizing integration landscapes for our clients while ensuring seamless communication between systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using SAP Cloud Integration (CI), applying best practices and enterprise integration patterns

• Execute migration projects from SAP Process Orchestration (PO) to Cloud Integration (CI) or from Neo to Cloud Foundry

• Develop and maintain Groovy scripts in CI for data transformations, closures, value mapping with context, and 3rd party SDK usage such as AWS

• Configure and troubleshoot REST, SOAP, OData, and SFTP adapters with a focus on SOAP RM, asynchronous messaging, and IDoc integrations

• Ensure robust exception handling, logging mechanisms, and adherence to Quality of Service in CPI (Exactly-Once, At Least Once)

• Configure and manage standard SAP content in CI and setup communication systems while understanding Cloud Connector and BTP security configurations, including roles and OAuth

• Work with streaming platforms and message queues, such as SAP Event Mesh, Kafka, or RabbitMQ

• Collaborate across teams to integrate two or more SAP systems, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP CX systems, or SuccessFactors, utilizing API and data model knowledge

• Manage certificates and establish SSL handshakes for secure communication between systems, ensuring a solid understanding of Authentication and Encryption mechanisms

• Provide technical expertise in CI pricing models, internal architecture, and account setup

• Apply high-level knowledge of SOA and EDA to architect integration solutions that align with customer requirements and networking concepts like the TCP/IP stack

• Support integration designs based on ISA-M methodology to scale and optimize enterprise solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CI) implementations and migrations from SAP PO or Neo environments

• Programming experience in Java or ABAP, including expertise in Groovy scripting for XmlSlurper, JsonSlurper, XmlParser, closures, and value mapping

• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, CI best practices, and data transformations within SAP CI landscapes

• Proficiency in REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP adapters, asynchronous messaging, and messaging protocols like SOAP RM and IDoc integrations

• Background in working with streaming platforms and message queues such as SAP Event Mesh, RabbitMQ, or Kafka

• Familiarity with OAuth configurations, BTP security roles, and encryption/authentication mechanisms

• Showcase of knowledge in integrating SAP systems like SAP S/4HANA, SAP CX systems, or SuccessFactors via API and data models

• High-level understanding of SOA, EDA, TCP/IP stack, ISA-M methodology, and networking concepts

• Experience in configuring certificates and SSL handshake processes for secure communication systems

• Competency in exception handling, logging, and achieving specific Quality of Service in CPI

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Cloud Foundry pricing models and CI architecture optimizations

• Familiarity with SAP Event Mesh and its applications in modern integrations

• Experience working with hybrid integration landscapes including various cloud platforms
