Senior Java Developer with AWS

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with experience in AWS Cloud to join our team.

The project involves working on applications related to Portfolio Management, Investment Operations, and more, using Cloud Native architecture and agile methodologies. The business operates in the investment management industry, focusing on providing low-cost traditional funds and ETFs.

The position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days per week required in the offices located in Krakow or Gdansk, Poland. If you're ready to make an impact in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Be part of a business-facing IT team that delivers new solutions to the business, understands/reviews functional specifications, and translates them into program specifications. Also, liaise with end-users for user acceptance testing and provide third-line support as required
• Build thought leadership and expertise around best-practice solution design and implementation
• Comply with defined code and documentation standards, including peer reviews
• Be a self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects, while balancing competing business demands and priorities

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Java (8 or higher), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful API implementation, GraphQL, and open-source frameworks
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience in software development using cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• Knowledge of build/deployment/testing/logging/monitoring tools and frameworks like Maven, Cucumber, Bamboo, Git/Bitbucket, and Splunk
• Understanding of investment management domain with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work well with both business managers and operations team, and ability to perform well under pressure, and deliver to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of agile software development processes/practices and familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other tools
• Desirable: Knowledge and experience with Python programming, ElasticCache, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security
