Senior Full Stack Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join EPAM's dynamic team in Kraków, Poland.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative compliance and regulatory governance solutions within the financial services sector. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies, including React, Java, and Azure, to develop high-performance, scalable applications in a hybrid work environment.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Kraków, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions using React, Java, and Azure

• Build responsive user interfaces with React, adhering to modern UI/UX standards

• Create APIs, microservices, and robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot

• Integrate frontend and backend components through RESTful APIs

• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on Azure cloud platforms

• Address performance and scalability issues in cloud-native applications

• Define and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end test strategies for both frontend and backend

• Work with architects and product owners to align technical efforts with business objectives

• Document code, workflows, architectural decisions, and API specifications

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development

• Extensive experience with React.js for building user interfaces

• Solid background in Java (Java 8 or later) and frameworks such as Spring Boot

• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript/JavaScript for responsive design

• Competency in building RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable applications

• Familiarity with Azure services like Azure App Services, Azure Functions, or Azure Blob Storage

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including optimization

• Proficiency in testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, JUnit, or Mockito

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions

• Fluent communication skills in English at a B2+ level

Nice to have

• Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes

• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and web applications

• Background in Agile methodologies or DevOps practices

• Exposure to financial services or compliance-based projects
