SAP Business Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements, designing scalable Production Planning solutions within SAP ERP/S4HANA

• Design integrated end‑to‑end architectures that streamline manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless data and process flow between SAP S/4HANA PP, adjacent SAP modules (MM, QM, PM, SD), and Third‑Party systems (MES, APS, LIMS, etc.)

• Promote and enforce industry Best Practices, guiding the organization toward solutions aligned with long‑term operational excellence rather than individual preferences

• Lead implementation and customization efforts for SAP Production Planning modules (PP, PP‑DS), ensuring alignment with manufacturing strategies, planning processes, and operational KPIs

• Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from conceptual design and blueprinting through configuration, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), cutover, hypercare, and stabilization

• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge‑transfer activities to support end‑user adoption and ensure effective use of SAP PP capabilities

• Troubleshoot complex functional and integration issues, especially in areas such as MRP/MRP Live, capacity planning, shop floor execution, BOM/routing consistency, and integration with MES or APO/PP‑DS

• Continuously evaluate and recommend system enhancements, staying current with S/4HANA innovations (e.g., MRP Live, embedded PP‑DS, predictive MRP) that could improve production planning efficiency

• Collaborate closely with technical teams, providing functional specifications, participating in ABAP debugging sessions, and validating integration developments (IDocs, BAPIs, APIs)

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an SAP Consultant or Business Solution Architect with a strong focus on SAP ERP/S4HANA Production Planning

• Proven leadership in at least 2 greenfield implementations as a PP Team Lead or Business Solution Architect, at least one of them on S/4HANA

• Expert‑level knowledge of SAP PP, including MRP/MRP Live, BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, planning strategies, capacity planning, and integration with MM, QM, SD, PM

• Solid experience with ABAP debugging and integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, APIs; MES or APS integration is a plus)

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities

• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP PP‑DS (embedded or classic APO) is a significant advantage

• Relevant SAP certifications in SAP ECC/S/4HANA Production Planning, PP‑DS certification
