SAP Basis/BTP Manager

In this role, you will lead and manage a team of SAP experts, oversee the administration and performance of SAP systems, and ensure alignment across departments and vendors. You will play a key role in designing high-performance technical solutions, managing SAP projects, and staying on top of the latest technologies and trends in SAP Basis and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Build and manage a team of SAP experts by providing direction, guidance, and support. Oversee all SAP Basis/SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) activities

• Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment across all departments and vendors to facilitate the effective administration of SAP systems

• Sales Support: Participate in the preparation of client proposals and statements of work for SAP projects

• Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to design effective, high-performance technical solutions in the SAP Basis/BTP areas

• Project Management: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the SAP Activate project methodology, from initial requirements gathering and development to deployment and post-production support

• Technical Expertise: Maintain deep technical knowledge of SAP Basis and SAP BTP. Ensure the team adheres to SAP best practices, standards, and guidelines. Oversee the upgrade, installation, and configuration of SAP systems

• SAP Basis/BTP Administration: Lead the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SAP landscapes. Ensure efficient, secure, and stable configurations across all platforms

• Troubleshooting: Leverage your comprehensive SAP Basis and BTP knowledge to promptly identify, analyze, and resolve application issues. Guide your team in swift and effective troubleshooting and problem-solving

• Compliance: Ensure system and data compliance with company policies, procedures, and protocols. Regularly perform system audits

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• Proven experience in SAP Basis and SAP BTP administration, ideally in a managerial role, with 7+ years of experience

• In-depth understanding of SAP system administration best practices

• Strong experience with SAP system administration and core components, especially SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP BTP

• Proficient in solving complex technical issues

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a passion for staying updated on the latest SAP technologies and industry trends

Nice to have

• SAP Technical Architect experience

• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA transition scenarios

• SAP certifications

• Certifications and hands-on experience with hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
