Jira Support & MCP Developer

We are looking for a Jira Support & MCP Developer to join a dynamic enterprise-scale IT ecosystem supporting agile delivery teams. This is a long-term opportunity to work with a global technology leader, currently modernizing and scaling its Jira-based backlog, test management, and AI-enabled collaboration platforms.

This role combines Jira platform support, AI/MCP integration development, and DevOps-oriented automation, contributing to secure, scalable, and future-ready enterprise tooling.

You will be part of the Jira Platform Operations team, acting as a bridge between Jira support, AI enablement, and DevOps integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Jira Software (Data Center & Cloud) in enterprise environments

• Design and maintain automation rules and advanced workflow logic

• Develop and maintain MCP-based integrations for AI agents and enterprise tools

• Enable secure AI use cases leveraging ChatGPT, Copilot, and enterprise AI agents

• Implement REST-based integrations and custom Python automation

• Support cloud migration and app re-platforming initiatives

• Participate in incident resolution, RCA, and performance optimization

• Collaborate with DevOps teams on Kubernetes/GCP-based deployments (for DC environments)

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Jira Administration (Data Center and Cloud)

• Advanced Jira Automation and workflow design skills

• Strong experience with Jira plugins (JMWE, Structure, Xray)

• Hands-on experience with AI tools and AI agents (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)

• Experience integrating or developing MCP-based solutions

• Skills in REST API integration and automation scripting (Python preferred)

• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts

• Atlassian certification (e.g., Atlassian Certified Professional – Jira Administration)

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities

• Proactive ownership attitude

• Comfortable working in complex enterprise environments

• English proficiency at a B2 level to ensure effective communication and documentation

Nice to have

• Experience deploying or operating services in Kubernetes

• Knowledge of GCP or cloud-native environments

• Experience with secure API authentication (OAuth2, SSO, token management)

• Experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, Bitbucket, or GitHub integrations

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise platforms

• Cloud, DevOps, or AI-related certification
