Data Integration Engineer with AWS

We are seeking a skilled Data Integration Engineer with expertise in AWS to design, build, and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines.
This role requires a deep understanding of data workflows, schema evolution, and freshness SLAs, along with hands-on experience in improving reliability and efficiency in data operations.
Responsibilities
Implement connectors using AWS DMS and API ingestion, ensuring partitioning and idempotent writes
Develop Airflow DAGs and Matillion jobs, and configure Snowflake tools such as COPY, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks
Manage IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS alongside alarms, retry mechanisms, and dead-letter queues
Reconcile volumes and metrics while ensuring compliance with established standards
Execute backfills and dual-run processes with ownership over handover documents like runbooks and lineage reports
Requirements
3+ years of experience with Apache Airflow and Snowflake tools including COPY, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks
3+ years of proficiency in AWS DMS, Python 3.x coding, and SQL (Snowflake SQL)
Expertise in AWS IAM, Secrets Manager, and alarm/retry configurations
Strong background in designing and operating data workflows for batch and CDC ingestion
Familiarity with managing retries, dead-letter queues, and schema evolution processes
Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)
Nice to have
Background in using Matillion, Debezium/Kafka Connect, and Kafka/Kinesis
Knowledge of OpenLineage and DataHub for lineage tracking
Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch for monitoring
