We are seeking a skilled .NET Engineering Manager to join a project for one of our key Clients.
As an Engineering Manager, you'll supervise 3–7 direct reports, handling their professional development while continuing your hands-on work as a Software Engineer. Your responsibilities will include training and evaluating engineers, as well as overseeing team performance and growth. You will lead, mentor, and support your team to achieve project and organizational goals, providing technical direction, reviewing code or technical work, and ensuring high engineering standards.
The position requires willingness to work on standard contract of employment and willingness to visit the EPAM office in Katowice 1 day per week.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of .NET Engineers, supporting their professional development
Manage the full software development lifecycle for .NET applications, ensuring efficiency and quality
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design, develop, and implement software solutions
Make critical architectural decisions to deliver scalable and reliable software systems
Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain coding standards
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve development processes
Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure deadlines are consistently met
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in developing web applications using .NET technologies
Proven experience in leading and managing development teams effectively
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP for building and deploying applications
Strong knowledge of microservice architecture for designing modular and scalable systems
Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with project goals
Exceptional problem-solving skills for analyzing and resolving technical challenges
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
Fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher
