Senior Data Scientist – Payment Intelligence (Databricks)

Project Context

Join a project for a global leader in Payment Orchestration & Processing, analyzing ~1 billion transactions monthly. We are building an AI-driven platform on Databricks to replace legacy solutions with adaptive ML models.

Your Role

• Build & Deploy: Develop production-grade ML models (Classification, Forecasting, Anomaly Detection) using Databricks Model Serving.

• Pipeline Design: Architect feature engineering pipelines for high-velocity, massive transaction datasets.

• Business Impact: Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to translate complex data patterns into actionable optimization strategies.

Must-Have Skills

• Analytical Mindset: Expert-level SQL skills with a proven ability to find patterns and insights in billions of rows of data.

• Big Data Engineering: Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.

• Production ML: Hands-on experience with deploying models in real-time/streaming environments.

• Streaming Architectures: Understanding of inference strategies for high-throughput systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Fintech/Payments (fraud detection, authorization logic).

• Knowledge of NLP/LLMs or Graph Neural Networks.

• Familiarity with Reinforcement Learning.
