You will join a team of industry veterans and Databricks MVPs. We look for engineers who value clean architecture over quick fixes. We don't just maintain pipelines; we solve complex architectural challenges for Fortune 500 clients using features often before they are widely available.

Core Responsibilities

• Greenfield Semantic Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of a brand-new star schema from the Bronze layer up, owning the transition from PoC to a hardened production environment.

• Fabric Direct Lake Optimization: Architect and configure Microsoft Fabric Direct Lake models. Given our scale (10M–70M row fact tables), you will move beyond standard Import/Direct Query methods to ensure high-performance concurrent access for 30+ power users.

• Legacy Modernization: Reverse-engineer complex legacy WebFOCUS reports—some featuring over 1,500 columns and 800 dynamic filters—translating intricate business logic into streamlined Power BI solutions.

• Full-Stack Performance Tuning: Take end-to-end ownership of the data chain. You will optimize the Delta Lake + Fabric connection, utilizing V-Order, partitioning, compaction, and advanced DAX tuning to ensure sub-second latency.

• Security & Governance: Implement robust Row-Level Security (RLS) for complex financial access patterns and manage deployments via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins + BitBucket).

• Cross-Team Leadership: Act as the bridge between UX designers (Figma), Databricks engineers, and stakeholders across Poland and India. You will present architectural roadmaps and drive technical consensus.

Technical Requirements

• Power BI Mastery: 4+ years in Data Analytics/BI with at least 3 years of intensive Power BI development.

• Fabric Expert (Non-Negotiable): Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Fabric and Direct Lake is mandatory.

• Schema Architect: Deep expertise in Star Schema design for large-scale Medallion architectures (Bronze → Silver → Gold).

• DAX Specialist: Advanced proficiency in DAX, including complex measures, iterators, and performance optimization.

• Databricks/Delta Lake Fluency: Strong SQL skills and the ability to optimize Delta tables (V-Order, partitioning) for downstream BI consumption.

• Communication: English (C1+) for high-level stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration.

You are a "builder-leader"—someone who can write complex DAX in the morning and present a strategic architectural shift to stakeholders in the afternoon. You don't just patch symptoms; you identify and fix root causes in the data model.
