Overview:

We are seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer to join our team and manage our mainframe environment. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing z/OS infrastructure, ensuring system stability, security, and performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to contribute to a high-performing IT team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support the z/OS environment, including TSO, ISPF, SMP/E, GDPS, MFA, JES2, and Sysplex.

• Ensure system optimization, balancing complexity, security, and performance.

• Take ownership of system issues, troubleshoot problems, and minimize downtime.

• Implement z/OS security best practices and maintain compliance with SOD (Separation of Duties).

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to resolve system issues and implement improvements.

• Support and guide team members on best practices for z/OS system configurations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with z/OS, Sysplex, JES2, SMP/E, z/OSMF, TSO, ISPF, GRS, and Catalogs.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues efficiently.

• Understanding of high-level security policies and best practices for z/OS.

• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and organized, with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• A team player with strong collaboration skills and an open-minded approach.
