Senior Java Developer – Liquidity and ALM Team

Location: Gdańsk or Gdynia, Poland

Work mode: Hybrid, 1-2 times per week from the office

Rate: Up to 165 PLN/H

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our client's Liquidity and ALM team – a project focused on building modern data and analytical solutions in the finance domain. You’ll be involved in developing scalable backend systems with a focus on clean architecture, performance, and reliability.This is a long-term opportunity with a reputable financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Java 17+ and Spring

• Build and maintain microservices-based solutions

• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and DevOps teams

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews

• Ensure code quality through modern development practices (clean code, CI/CD, BDD)

Must-Have Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Java 17+ and Spring Framework

• Good understanding of SQL

• Experience with Git

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently in an Agile environment

• Fluent English (spoken and written) – used daily

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Kotlin

• Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana

• CI/CD tools and pipelines

• Domain-driven design, BDD, event sourcing

• API integration and consumption

• Batch and stream processing

• Experience with concurrency using modern tools (e.g. Coroutines, Virtual Threads)

• Knowledge of Snowflake is a plus
