Senior IT Automation Tester (Java / Cucumber / Selenium)

Location: Gdańsk

Work model: Hybrid, 3 days a week office

Rate: up to 155 PLN/h, B2B contract

Summary
The role focuses on providing quality assurance for large-scale, international IT projects within a highly regulated financial environment. The consultant will support global delivery teams by driving test automation, ensuring high software quality, and contributing to the development of stable and reliable enterprise-grade solutions.

This position combines hands-on test automation with a strong understanding of data flows, negative testing, and quality assurance processes across complex systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Define automated test scenarios using Cucumber.

• Implement test automation in Java (21) using Selenium.

• Review and maintain Cucumber test scenarios to support quality assurance activities.

• Perform negative testing to identify defects and edge cases.

• Drive and support QA activities across the delivery team.

• Understand and validate data flows within software applications.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in defining automated tests using Cucumber.

• Hands-on proficiency in Java (21) and Selenium.

• Experience in reviewing and maintaining automated test scenarios.

• Solid background in negative testing.

• Ability to actively drive QA processes within delivery teams.

• Good understanding of data flows in complex systems.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Splunk.

• Basic understanding of Sonar.

• Basic knowledge of Docker.

• Experience with exploratory testing.
