Senior Database Support Specialist

Rate: up to 150 pln/h net + VAT, B2B

Introduction:

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong focus on automation and optimization to ensure efficient database management. Collaboration with a diverse team, including Database Engineering and external consultants, is essential for driving effective incident management and resource optimization.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the Database Engineering team on governance and security.

• Managing daily DBA tasks including troubleshooting and incident response.

• Implementing and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.

• Optimizing resource allocation across IT operations.

• Reducing the frequency and impact of major incidents.

• Providing technical consultation to other departments.

• Developing strategies for infrastructure improvements.

Key Requirements

• Experience managing several hundred MS SQL databases and Azure Cosmos.

• Expertise in daily DBA management and incident resolution.

• Proficient in planning and controlling IT operations, including compliance and monitoring.

• Proficiency in English, spoken and written, at B2 level.

• Experience working in a financial institution.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with database security practices.

• Experience with database performance tuning.

• Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions.

• Understanding of IT governance frameworks.
