Summary: The Senior Backend Developer will play a key role in designing and enhancing backend architectures for innovative digital solutions, directly impacting production efficiency and patient treatment access.

Main Responsibilities:

The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems, ensuring high-quality application performance.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems using C#/.NET 9 (Azure Functions and Web APIs)

• Configure and optimize Azure Cognitive Search (semantic search, custom indexers)

• Implement real-time capabilities using Azure Web PubSub

• Manage APIs via Azure API Management

• Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Bicep, including RBAC and service configurations

• Work with NoSQL and relational stores: Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL for BI/reporting needs

• Drive CI/CD with GitHub and GitHub Actions; maintain reliable pipelines and automated tests

• Troubleshoot, profile, and optimize performance and reliability

• Participate in code reviews, mentor peers, and contribute to architectural decisions

• Collaborate closely with product and design colleagues in an Agile environment

Key Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

• 5+ years backend development experience with C#/.NET

• Practical experience with Azure (Functions, Cosmos DB, API Management)

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Bicep or equivalent) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, testing practices, and design patterns

• Fluent English, written and spoken

• Familiarity with serverless/microservices patterns and mobile/PWA backends

• Knowledge of observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing)

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of software architecture principles

• Experience in mentoring junior developers

• Exposure to Agile methodologies
