Security Architect

Summary: The Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the security architecture to align with the IT strategy, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity principles, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and enhance the security architecture aligned with the IT strategy.

• Coordinate with the cybersecurity team and collaborate with domain architects for security requirements.

• Develop and conduct security assessments, tests, and reviews to identify risks.

• Support the development of security and compliance requirements aligning with industry standards.

• Lead technology evaluation and selection, providing guidance on security best practices.

• Contribute to the departmental strategy and monitor performance against financial targets.

• Supervise daily operations to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Security architecture qualifications (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF).

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001).

• 10+ years of IT experience with 8 years in IT Security Program Management.

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations relevant to the region.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with local cybersecurity compliance frameworks.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies.

• Knowledge of various security technologies, such as firewalls and encryption protocols.
