Security Architect
Summary: The Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the security architecture to align with the IT strategy, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity principles, standards, and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and enhance the security architecture aligned with the IT strategy.
Coordinate with the cybersecurity team and collaborate with domain architects for security requirements.
Develop and conduct security assessments, tests, and reviews to identify risks.
Support the development of security and compliance requirements aligning with industry standards.
Lead technology evaluation and selection, providing guidance on security best practices.
Contribute to the departmental strategy and monitor performance against financial targets.
Supervise daily operations to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
Master’s or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Security architecture qualifications (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF).
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001).
10+ years of IT experience with 8 years in IT Security Program Management.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations relevant to the region.
Nice to Have:
Experience with local cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Knowledge of various security technologies, such as firewalls and encryption protocols.
