SAP Solution Architect

Summary

The role of the SAP Solution Architect is central to the organization's digital transformation efforts, focusing on aligning SAP solutions with business strategies while leading end-to-end solution architecture for the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead end-to-end SAP solution architecture across IS-Oil and core SAP modules.

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system landscapes aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

• Translate complex business requirements into functional and technical SAP solutions.

• Ensure optimal utilization of SAP capabilities to support upstream Oil & Gas operations.

• Provide deep expertise in SAP IS-Oil, including hydrocarbon management, production accounting, and logistics.

• Leverage strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO to ensure financial integration and compliance.

• Drive integration across modules such as MM, SD, PM, and Production Planning.

• Oversee integration with non-SAP systems, including industry-specific applications and third-party platforms.

• Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and design principles.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and functional teams to ensure alignment.

• Drive S/4HANA transformation initiatives and identify opportunities for process optimization.

Key Requirements

• 20+ years of SAP experience with strong Solution Architecture background.

• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas industry (Upstream focus).

• Deep expertise in SAP IS-Oil.

• Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO.

• Experience in S/4HANA implementations and migrations.

• Proven track record in multi-module SAP integration and large-scale transformations.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and system design.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP BTP, Cloud Integration, and modern SAP landscapes.

• Exposure to Agile / SAP Activate methodologies.

• Prior experience in large-scale transformation programs in the GCC region.

• Location: Muscat, Oman

• Contract Duration: 6 months contract (with possibility of extension)

• Reporting Lines: Collaborates cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders.

• Project Context: Involved in S/4HANA initiatives and architecture governance.
