Assignment Description
As an SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant, you are responsible for the implementation and configuration of financial processes within Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO). The role covers the entire project lifecycle – from pre-study and design to go-live and subsequent optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)

• Drive workshops and perform fit-gap analysis (as-is / to-be)

• Ensure correct design of financial processes and organizational structure

• Configure and quality assure:

  • General Ledger, AP/AR, Asset Accounting

  • Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders

• Ensure integration with adjacent modules (MM, SD, product costing)

• Participate in planning system architecture and integration solutions

• Support data migration and ensure data quality

• Define test strategy and drive testing activities (UAT, integration, etc.)

• Prepare and deliver training for end users

• Support go-live, cutover, and hypercare phases

• Work with continuous improvements after implementation

• Ensure documentation, compliance, and internal controls

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)

• Strong expertise in:

  • General Ledger, AP/AR, Asset Accounting

  • Controlling (cost centers, profit centers, internal orders)

• Experience with greenfield implementations

• Good understanding of financial regulations (IFRS, GAAP, or local requirements)

• Experience with integration points between SAP modules

• Knowledge of data migration

• Strong analytical skills and experience in process mapping

• Ability to document and structure solutions

Other

• Experience from the manufacturing industry is an advantage

• Understanding of governance, internal controls, and authorization structures (SoD/DoA)

• Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders (Finance, IT, business)
