SAP PS - Enterprise Technology Architect - Portugal

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Technology Architect with a strong specialization in SAP Project System (PS) and a comprehensive understanding of SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have 12 to 18 years of experience in SAP implementations, with a minimum of 8 years focused on SAP PS. Key qualifications include proven leadership in SAP transformations and expertise in solution design and integration architecture.

Main Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP PS and related modules across the program.

• Translate business strategy and functional requirements into scalable, integrated SAP PS design.

• Define architectural blueprints, data models, integration patterns, and governance structures for PS.

• Ensure alignment of PS design with enterprise architecture, data governance, and digital strategy.

• Provide guidance to process leads, functional consultants, and developers during design, build, and deployment.

• Oversee integration of PS with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, and external systems (such as Primavera, MS Project, or project control tools).

• Review and approve solution documentation, functional specifications, and technical designs.

• Define migration strategy for PS master data and transactional data.

• Support system performance optimization, process automation, and innovation (e.g., AI, analytics, predictive project controls).

Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership on SAP PS roadmap and enhancements.

Key Requirements

• 12–18 years of experience in SAP implementations with at least 8 years in SAP PS.

• Strong architectural understanding of SAP S/4HANA Project System, including Fiori and embedded analytics.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale SAP transformation or greenfield implementations.

• Expertise in solution design, integration architecture, and governance frameworks.

• Exposure to EPC, construction, energy, or infrastructure industries preferred.

• Experience in SAP Activate methodology and Fit-to-Standard approach.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with emerging SAP technologies and ability to propose innovations for project management processes.
