SAP Project & Portfolio Management (PPM/PS) Consultant - Oil & Gas

Summary: This role seeks a seasoned SAP Project & Portfolio Management (PPM/PS) Consultant to manage capital and operational projects within the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on effective project alignment with business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Configure and support SAP Project Systems (PS) and/or Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) modules.

• Define and manage project structures (WBS, networks, milestones).

• Support project scope definition, planning, and scheduling.

• Manage project budgeting, cost planning, and cost control.

• Monitor project execution, performance tracking, and variance analysis.

• Enable portfolio management, prioritization, and reporting across multiple projects.

• Integrate project financials with SAP FI/CO for cost tracking and reporting.

• Ensure governance, compliance, and audit readiness across project portfolios.

• Provide real-time reporting and dashboards for project performance and decision-making.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align SAP project solutions with business needs.

Key Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP PS and/or SAP PPM configuration and support.

• Expertise in project structuring, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.

• Experience managing capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) projects.

• Integration experience with SAP FI/CO modules.

• Knowledge of project governance frameworks and performance tracking.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Oil & Gas or large-scale project environments (preferred).

• Location: Muscat, Oman (onsite)

• Contract Duration: 4 - 6 Months (with possibility of extension).
