RPG Developer

Summary: We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer to join a prominent global Fintech firm. The ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of experience in the RPGLE programming language, with strong skills in SQL, encryption, and familiarity with IBMi architecture. This role involves contributing to a variety of banking and fintech services, requiring collaboration in a remote environment following initial onboarding in Åland/Finland.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using RPGLE.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.

• Implement and maintain database solutions using SQL.

• Ensure system security measures are upheld with encryption protocols.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide timely project updates.

• Contribute to the design and architecture of banking solutions.

• Support integration of REST APIs where applicable.

• Document development processes and maintain code quality.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in RPGLE programming language.

• Proficiency with RPG, SQL, encryption, TLS/SSL, SSH, and IBMi MQ.

• Knowledge of IBMi architecture.

• Familiarity with Jira and Scrum/Agile methodologies.

• Strong command of English, both oral and written.

• Domain knowledge in deposits (accounts) and banking.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in additional programming languages beyond RPG.

• Knowledge of REST APIs.

Other Details: This is a full-time, remote position with an immediate start date.

Onboarding will occur in Åland/Finland for the first week, after which the role will be 100% remote.

The contract is flexible, with a one-month notice period.
