Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) Consultant

London- (Hybrid)

X3 days on-site per week

£600 - £650

We are seeking an experienced Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) Consultant to support the delivery and enhancement of recovery and resolution capabilities within a regulated financial services environment. This is a hands-on SME role with a strong focus on resolution and restructuring planning, requiring the ability to review existing frameworks, identify gaps, and drive practical, compliant improvements at pace.

 

The role:

Resolution & Restructuring Planning

  • Review and assess existing resolution and restructuring capabilities, identifying gaps and areas for enhancement.

  • Support delivery against regulatory expectations relating to barriers to resolution, including capability assessment and ongoing compliance.

  • Evaluate existing testing approaches, define additional testing requirements, and support forward-looking testing plans.

  • Embed restructuring planning into forecasting processes, including capital and balance sheet considerations.

Recovery & Resolution Planning Delivery

  • Support development and maintenance of Recovery and Resolution Plans in line with regulatory frameworks.

  • Contribute to recovery options, early warning indicators (EWIs), and escalation triggers.

  • Support alignment of entity-level recovery plans with overarching frameworks and standards.

  • Assist with regulatory feedback and supervisory actions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Support

  • Work with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and business stakeholders to gather inputs and document recovery and resolution capabilities.

  • Support workshops, reviews, and challenge sessions to enhance recovery actions and crisis playbooks.

  • Deliver discrete RRP workstreams, managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.

Process Improvement & Testing

  • Identify and implement improvements to RRP processes, governance, and documentation.

  • Support crisis management and resolution testing, including dry-runs and lessons learned.

  • Contribute to enhancements of tooling, document management, and reporting

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in Recovery and Resolution Planning, with a strong emphasis on resolution and restructuring planning.

  • Good understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including expectations relating to resolvability and barriers to resolution.

  • Strong accounting background, with experience across capital, balance sheet, and financial forecasting processes.

  • Working knowledge of Treasury, Capital, Liquidity, or Balance Sheet Management functions.

  • Experience supporting testing, scenario analysis, or capability assessments within regulatory programmes.

  • Consulting or advisory background preferred, with the ability to step into delivery at pace.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to interrogate and interpret balance sheets and financial forecasts.

  • Strong project delivery skills, able to manage multiple priorities in parallel.
