QA Engineer

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a qualified QA Engineer to enhance our mobile applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and possess 1-5 years of experience in quality assurance for mobile applications. This role demands expertise in both manual and automated testing across iOS and Android platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans.

• Identify, record, and track defects throughout the testing process.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met.

• Perform both manual and automated testing on mobile applications.

• Maintain and enhance testing procedures and tools.

• Conduct performance evaluations and troubleshoot issues.

• Report and document software defects accurately.

• Assist in improving the automation frameworks.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-5 years of experience in quality assurance for mobile apps.

• Proficient in testing and automation tools like Appium, XCTest, Espresso, and Figma.

• Skilled in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Experience working in Agile environments, particularly with SAFE/Scrum methodologies.

• Knowledge of contract testing methodologies.

• Proficiency in Test Automation, including scenario identification and automation improvement.

Nice to Have:

• Certification in Quality Engineering or Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.

• Familiarity with mobile app analytics tools.

• Understanding of mobile performance metrics and debugging techniques.

• Experience with backend testing techniques and tools.
