Project Manager

The candidate is responsible for delivering Information Systems & Technology projects for Alstom’s Digital Services / Digital Reality domain and will play a key role in deploying Cloud-based digital solutions supporting Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality use cases, in alignment with Alstom’s global digital transformation strategy.
Scope
Plan & organize projects
Plan and organize the delivery of Digital Reality projects in the region in accordance with Global & Regional roadmaps, governance processes and the standard IS&T operating model.
Ensure projects leverage Cloud technologies and architectures (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS) aligned with corporate standards.
Contribute to optimizing the delivery model in line with the defined sourcing strategy.
Propose and implement initiatives to optimize planning, costs, quality and Cloud resource usage.
Ensure all project activities follow standard methodologies, processes and tools.
Apply standard templates and documentation to record project activities.
Work closely with the PMO to ensure full adherence to project methodology.
Resource projects
Contribute to defining the capacity plan, skill matrix and sourcing model, including Cloud and digital skills.
Ensure capacity plans are maintained accurately and updated in a timely manner.
Support the onboarding and coordination of internal and external resources with Cloud expertise.
Lead projects
Contribute to regional project and technology strategy, including Cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
Build strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders in IS&T, Business and Cloud service providers.
Manage the project plan (scope, resources, tasks and milestones).
Manage project interdependencies, including those related to Cloud platforms and digital services.
Identify and mitigate risks, including security, performance and cost risks linked to Cloud environments.
Lead project teams by providing direction, feedback and support.
Communicate with PLs and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and community support.
Control projects
Report project status regularly and in accordance with standards.
Ensure projects operate within approved budget, scope and Cloud consumption thresholds.
Monitor all budgeted expenditures, including Cloud usage and service costs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Identify and assess risks associated with project activities and take corrective actions as needed.
Use the project evaluation framework to capture lessons learned, including best practices related to Cloud deployment and operations.
PROFILE
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
Engineering degree, preferably in Information Technology, with 5+ years of experience in Project / Program Management.
Strong experience in delivering Digital and Cloud-based solutions, ideally in complex international environments.
Solid knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms (public, private or hybrid Cloud; ideally Azure, AWS or equivalent).
Good understanding of Cloud architecture principles, security, scalability and cost management.
Proven experience in deploying Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality / Mixed Reality solutions.
Ideally experienced in transformation / carve-in / carve-out projects involving integrated engineering solutions (PLM systems such as Catia V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE are a plus), including integration with Business Intelligence or digital platforms.
Experience working in global companies, either as a service provider and/or as a customer.
Strong communication skills, execution capability and ability to meet deadlines.
