Summary: The Programme Manager for Data will lead complex, data-driven programmes in the banking sector, bridging business and technology to achieve successful project delivery.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional programmes with a data or architecture focus.
- Lead programme planning, execution, risk/issue management, and governance setup.
- Translate strategic objectives into delivery plans, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and IT, including C-suite where required.
- Work closely with business architecture teams to leverage tools such as ARIS for process and design alignment.
- Facilitate the capture of business requirements and ensure traceability through to delivery.
- Drive adherence to project delivery frameworks, governance models, and reporting structures.
- Manage programme-level financials, resource planning, and RAID logs.
- Ensure smooth integration of workstreams, mitigating delivery risks across technology and operations.
- Promote strong documentation practices using Confluence, Clarity, and Jira.
- Leverage tools such as Excel for tracking, reporting, and planning.
- Proven track record as a Programme Manager within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong experience leading data-driven or business transformation programmes.
- Demonstrated use of ARIS or equivalent business architecture toolsets.
- Experience delivering both technology and business-led change initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Skilled in using delivery and documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, Clarity, and Excel.
- Familiarity with programme governance, steering committees, and regulatory engagement.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, highly regulated environments, with a confident, proactive delivery style.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe, or Agile certifications).
- Experience working in a federated or matrixed organisation.
- Exposure to enterprise data governance or regulatory reporting programmes.
