Product Owner OT Scada

We are looking for a consultant to take on the role of Product Owner – OT SCADA. The assignment is planned for a duration of two years.

The consultant will provide hands-on functional leadership and guidance to the OT SCADA team (currently six experienced engineers), ensuring efficient execution of daily activities across assets in operation and development.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (projects and operations across all business units) and external suppliers

• Translate business needs and portfolio priorities into clear, actionable tasks for the team

• Manage and prioritize the team backlog, balancing competing stakeholder requirements while aligning with strategic objectives

• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of OT SCADA products, tools, processes, and procedures

• Oversee integration and lifecycle management of SCADA systems

• Lead and support incident resolution, including corrective and preventive actions

• Promote proactive monitoring to minimize downtime and improve asset availability

• Represent stakeholder interests and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements

• Foster collaboration and continuous learning within the team

• Ensure OT SCADA capabilities support strategic objectives for asset reliability and data-driven decision-making

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
  Renewable Energy Systems, Systems Engineering, Power Systems, Information Systems, Electrical/Energy Engineering, Control/Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science

• Coursework or practical exposure to:

  • Industrial Control Systems (ICS)

  • Communication protocols

  • Data integration

  • OT–IT convergence

  • Cybersecurity principles

• Agile / Product Ownership certifications (highly desirable)

• Scrum Product Owner certifications (PSPO or CSPO)

• SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) and Project Management certifications (PMP or PMI-ACP)

• OT Cybersecurity certifications (ISA/IEC 62443) or equivalent ICS security training

• Vendor-specific SCADA experience with Siemens Gamesa and Vestas SCADA systems

Nice to Have

• Danish, Dutch, or German language skills

• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams

• Previous experience in the renewable energy sector

Other Details

• The consultant can be based in Jutland

• Up to 50% remote work is possible after the initial onboarding phase

• Occasional travel to other locations may be required
