Platform Engineer to scaling AI company

Our innovative client is looking for a contractor to join its Developer Experience team.

Length: 6 months with possible extension

Location: Stockholm on-site

The team focuses on enabling product engineers to work faster and more reliably by building and maintaining internal platforms, tooling, and infrastructure that scale with the company’s growth.

Role overview
You will work as a Software Engineer with a strong platform engineering background, contributing to the development, improvement, and scaling of the company’s internal developer tooling and environments. The role sits close to product engineering teams and has a strong focus on developer productivity, reliability, and system scalability.

Key responsibilities
– Design, build, and maintain development environment tooling
– Work with build systems and improve build performance and reliability
– Design and scale CI/CD pipelines to support fast-moving engineering teams
– Contribute to observability solutions (logging, metrics, tracing) to improve system insight and reliability
– Collaborate closely with product engineers to identify friction points in developer workflows
– Improve platform scalability, stability, and usability as the organization grows
– Own and evolve internal tools and shared infrastructure components

Required experience
– Strong background in software engineering with a focus on platform engineering
– Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and build tooling
– Experience working with development environment tooling and internal platforms
– Solid understanding of observability practices and tools
– Experience scaling systems in a high-growth or fast-changing environment
– Comfortable working as a contractor in an autonomous, collaborative team setup

Nice to have
– Experience working in developer experience, internal tooling, or enablement teams
– Exposure to cloud-native environments and modern infrastructure stacks
– Experience supporting multiple engineering teams and balancing competing needs
