PL Test Automation Engineer for Retention & Deletion Workstream

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Retention and Deletion workstream. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in test automation and manual testing, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the software testing domain, and proficiency in Python and Robot Framework. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a Scrum team to enhance the efficiency of our testing processes and contribute to the implementation of GDPR compliance. A commitment to quality and communication is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for various testing tasks while collaborating with team members.

• Work within a Scrum team alongside testers, developers, and business analysts.

• Proactively communicate with team members and other teams.

• Follow the Master Test Plan and seek improvement.

• Analyze, refine, and estimate requirements and user stories.

• Maintain test authoring, review, execution, and defect reporting.

• Enhance test automation coverage and test organization.

• Support UAT and PreProd/Prod test phases.

• Prepare test data for manual and automated testing.

• Implement and execute test automation scripts using Python and Robot Framework.

Key Requirements:

• Strong communication skills for collaborative working.

• Confidence to question solutions and propose improvements.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• 4+ years of experience in the testing area or software development.

• 3+ years of development experience with Python.

• 3+ years of experience with Robot Framework and Selenium/SeleniumLibrary.

• Experience with locating UI web elements via XPath.

• Understanding of the POM pattern and BDD testing.

• Experience with API, Kafka, and integration testing.

• Proficiency with development tools such as PyCharm.

• Familiarity with GIT, Jenkins CI/CD, and test techniques.

• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

• Experience working in agile frameworks like Scrum and SAFe.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containerization using Docker.

• SQL knowledge.

• Experience with Contract Testing, Service Virtualization, or Data Mocking.

• Proficient in Groovy for Jenkinsfile.
