Mainframe Developer (COBOL)

On behalf of a large financial client, we are currently looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join a team working with business-critical systems related to securities trading and settlement.

The consultant will support both new development and maintenance of existing mainframe solutions in a complex production environment. The role includes development of batch tasks and system components, troubleshooting, and general system maintenance.

You will join an experienced team responsible for systems supporting financial transaction and settlement flows. The environment is business-critical and requires a structured and quality-focused approach.

Key requirements

• Strong experience with mainframe development

• Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2 and IMS

• Experience working with business-critical production systems

• Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Comfortable working with both development and operational tasks

Start: 1 April 2026
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Location: Fredericia, Denmark (hybrid setup with onsite presence expected)
Language: Danish required, English at a high professional level
