IT2 Developer

Project Details:

* Location: Any location in Europe (including UK) with a requirement to work in the Amsterdam time zone.

Summary:

The IT2 Developer role is critical for enhancing and maintaining data processing systems used by banks and financial institutions. The primary goal is to support the integration and onboarding of banks while ensuring the integrity and functionality of the treasury processes through custom development and automation.

Responsibilities:

* Modify, enhance, and maintain custom data parsers in ION IT2 using Object REXX scripting and related APIs.

* Develop and maintain automation and integration solutions between IT2 and enterprise systems.

* Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing IT2 logs, identifying exceptions, and implementing permanent resolutions.

* Design, optimize, and maintain IT2 scripts (Object REXX, VBScript, or Visual Basic).

* Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database routines.

* Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of the IT2 data model and develop reporting updates as needed.

* Build, troubleshoot, and enhance parsers for onboarding new and existing banks.

* Monitor IT2 system logs and performance to identify and prevent recurring issues.

* Manage user access and perform routine system health checks.

* Collaborate with ION vendor support for escalations and urgent product fixes.

* Document detailed system changes and best practice guidelines for audit purposes.

* Experience in ION IT2 core development including custom code and reporting.

Key Requirements:

* Strong experience with ION IT2 and Object REXX scripting.

* Proficiency in SQL, particularly in writing and optimizing queries.

* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.

* Knowledge of IT2 data models, database schema, and data flows.

* Experience with automation and integration between IT2 and enterprise systems.

Nice to Have:

* Familiarity with VBScript or Visual Basic for automation tasks.

* Previous experience in treasury or banking environments.

* Exposure to ION product features or vendor-specific solutions.

* Experience managing user access and performing system health checks.
