IAM (Identity and Access Management) Operations Specialist

One of our clients in the banking industry is seeking two experienced IAM Operations Specialists to execute and support the Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) processes and handle IAM-related requests and incidents. The ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience with IAM operations and a solid understanding of access control and management systems, particularly Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD. Data analysis skills are essential, along with attention to detail and systematic work practices.

Key responsibilities:

• IAM operational execution (backfill)

  • Execute and support Joiner / Mover / Leaver (JML) processes

  • Handle IAM-related ServiceNow requests and incidents (access, entitlements, role corrections)

  • Support daily access and entitlement handling

  • Coordinate operational tasks with user administration teams

• IAM data analysis and clean-up

  • Analyse and improve IAM master data

    • Roles and business roles

    • Role groups and group memberships

    • Entitlements and access packages

    • Ownership and accountability fields

  • Support migration from manual access to group‑ and access‑package‑based access

  • Prepare structured access lists and extracts for audits, reviews, and recertifications

• Support to security and audit activities (execution only)

  • Prepare factual input and evidence for security and audit activities (e.g. user lists, privileged access overviews)

  • Support clean‑up of excess, obsolete, or misaligned access

  • Execute remediation tasks defined by IAM Governance or Security

• Operational coordination and stabilization

  • Follow defined IAM processes and escalate design, policy, or risk questions to IAM Governance

  • Contribute to reducing manual workarounds and recurring IAM incidents

  • Support backlog reduction through structured execution

Boundaries (explicit)

• The consultant does not define IAM policy, architecture, or risk acceptance

• The consultant does not own audit decisions or governance - only support when needed with data

• The role is execution‑focused, operating under established direction from IAM Governance / Security Lead

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with IAM operations

• Solid understanding of JML (Joiner / Mover / Leaver) processes, RBAC (Role Based Access Control), and PAM/PIM (Privileged Access Management)

• Practical experience with:

  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD

  • Microsoft Entra ID Workflows

  • Microsoft Logic Apps

  • Active Directory

  • ServiceNow (access requests, incidents)

• Strong data analysis skills (Excel/CSV)

• High attention to detail and systematic work approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated environments (finance, insurance)

• Familiarity with IAM clean-up processes post-go live

• Experience working with large IAM backlogs and legacy access models.
