Firewall Specialist

Introduction & Summary:

This role focuses on maintaining the security and functionality of a large firewall environment through regular updates, addressing vulnerabilities, and executing service requests efficiently to safeguard network integrity. The ideal candidate will possess very good networking knowledge and excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Technical planning of updates.

• Preparation of necessary activities and creation of change requests.

• If required, present the activities in various Change Advisory Boards.

• Execution and post-implementation review of updates.

• Execution of firewall service orders (e.g., firewall rule activations and deletions).

Key Requirements:

• Very good networking knowledge.

• Excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies.

• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible.

• High commitment to the quality of work.

• Experience in dealing with internal and external customers.

• Good communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a banking-regulated environment

• Willingness to work outside normal hours (evenings and weekends)

• German language skills
