Environment & Release Lead
You will own environment planning, infrastructure coordination, release management, configuration control, production readiness, cutover, and service transition across the programme.
The role takes the system through to production and defines the ongoing service management model for both live and non-production environments.
This is not an application or enterprise architecture role — the focus is squarely on programme and project environment management, supporting infrastructure, release discipline, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end environment strategy across dev, test, SIT, UAT, training, pre-prod, and production.
Maintain the environment inventory and calendar across Oracle, Dynamics, and all linked systems.
Coordinate environment setup with infrastructure, cloud, network, security, and supplier teams.
Own the integrated release plan and release calendar across the platform landscape.
Lead release readiness reviews, deployment sequencing, rollback, and post-release reviews.
Control the promotion of code and configuration across environments, including production.
Own the approach for test data, environment refreshes, and baseline data setup.
Maintain operational oversight of integrations, batch jobs, APIs, and interfaces across environments.
Coordinate dress rehearsals, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
Define and embed the ongoing service management model for live and non-production environments.
Own environment access governance and ensure audit, security, and compliance requirements are met.
Provide a single view of environment status, release status, and production readiness.
Key Requirements
Strong track record in environment management on large, multi-workstream transformation programmes.
Hands-on experience across complex environment landscapes involving Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and linked enterprise platforms.
Strong release planning and release management experience across shared environments and cross-system dependencies.
Solid experience of production readiness, cutover, first-live deployment, and early life support.
Good understanding of supporting infrastructure — identity, connectivity, certificates, middleware, scheduling, and monitoring.
Experience of test data management and environment refresh cycles.
Experience in setting up steady-state support and service transition for live environments.
Strong stakeholder management across business, technology, suppliers, and integrators.
Nice to Have
Experience across Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM.
Experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft platform services.
Experience with CPQ, reporting platforms, and shared integration services.
Experience of Azure DevOps or similar release and work-tracking tooling.
ITIL or similar service management framework experience.
Experience of pan-European programme delivery.
