Data Technical Business Analyst

Our client is preparing the market entry of a new digital demand deposits product andis looking for two experienced Data Technical Business Analysts with German language to support a focused, high-impact assignment in a regulated banking environment.

This role sits at the intersection of data, business analysis, and technical delivery, helping shape how data is structured, understood, and used for pricing, reporting, and business control. You will work closely with internal data analysts, the Treasury project team, and IT development stakeholders to bring clarity, structure, and automation to existing reporting and data processes.

It's a short term project with possibility of extension

The Assignment

You will play a key role in translating business needs into technical reality and improving the quality and usability of data across the product landscape. The focus is not on building AI/ML models, but on pragmatic, reliable, and testable data solutions that support decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Translate functional and business concepts into clear, testable technical requirements

• Analyse and stabilise existing manual or semi-manual reporting processes

• Support and contribute to the development of automated reporting solutions

• Build and improve data quality through plausibility checks and validation approaches

• Develop a tool to identify and match duplicate customer records

• Collaborate closely with project management, IT developers, and data teams

• Ensure strong documentation for technical, functional, and handover purposes

• Support selective data analysis and functional evaluation activities

What You Bring

• Proven experience translating business requirements into technical specifications

• Strong background in data, reporting, testing, or release-related topics

• Experience working in regulated banking or financial services environments

• Familiarity with testing methods and structured QA approaches

• Ability to produce clear, structured functional and technical documentation

• Strong stakeholder management skills across business and IT teams

• Pragmatic mindset with a focus on delivery and workable interim solutions

• Fast ramp-up capability and ability to work independently

• German language skills (required)
