Data Steward for Data Governance
Description
A data steward manages and oversees an organization's data assets to ensure they meet standards for quality, accessibility, security, and compliance with regulations and policies. Their main duties generally include:
· Data quality management: ensuring information is accurate, complete, consistent, and trustworthy
· Metadata management: documenting data definitions, lineage, and business context
· Implementing data governance: applying policies, standards, and procedures
· Managing access controls: regulating who can access specific data and for what reasons
· Monitoring compliance: making sure data handling follows regulatory requirements
· Resolving data issues: addressing problems related to data quality or access
· Collaborating across functions: working with IT, business teams, and leadership
· Promoting data literacy: enabling the organization to understand and use data appropriately
Data stewards act as a link between technical and business stakeholders, making sure that data supports organizational goals while being properly managed throughout its lifecycle.
The preferred location for this role is Helsinki, but applicants in Stockholm, Oslo, and Taastrup will also be considered.
