Senior KDB+/q Developer (Financial Domain)

📍 Remote (from Poland)

Roles and Responsibilities

Technical:

• Hands-on development experience using q/KDB, R, or Python in the financial domain

• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and bash scripting

• Experience working with JIRA for issue tracking (SCRUM boards)

Functional:

• Strong understanding of Financial Markets asset classes:FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Rates, Commodities, and Credit

• Knowledge of various trade types:OTC, exchange-traded, Spot, Forward, Swap, Options

• Familiarity with related financial systems

Other Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good knowledge of release processes and control procedures

• Strong experience working with geographically distributed global teams

• Prior experience using ML/AI libraries to solve real-world problems is a plus

🎯 Responsibilities

• Software development using q/KDB backend

• Provide effort estimates based on requirements to project managers

• Follow best practices and coding standards

• Maintain and update specification documentation with version control
