Data Masking Consultant

Key Skill sets: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data anonymization and masking, with a focus on implementing solutions using Informatica IDMC.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Masking Consultant with at least 5 years of experience in data anonymization and masking, preferably using the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) tool or similar tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the technical proficiency to implement effective data masking strategies.

Main responsibilities and duties of the role:

• Data Masking Implementation: Design, develop, and implement data masking solutions using Informatica IDMC to ensure the security of sensitive data in non-production environments.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data protection and masking needs.
• Tool Management: Manage and optimize the use of Informatica IDMC for data masking; troubleshoot and resolve any tool-related issues as they arise.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data masking specifications, workflows, and operational procedures.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of data masking solutions to ensure effectiveness and accuracy, mitigating risks associated with data exposure.
• Training & Support: Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data masking techniques and the use of Informatica IDMC.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency with data masking platform preferably Informatica IDMC else with other recognized tools like Oracle, IBM, Delphix, Protegrity, etc.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data transformation/ETL processes.
• Relevant certifications in data masking and security are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data anonymization and masking, with a focus on implementing solutions using Informatica IDMC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with regulatory compliance related to data security.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in cloud data services and data warehouses.
