Data Engineer

Project Information:

Start: flexible

Location: Gdańsk or Warsaw with at least 3 days a week in the office

Business travels: monthly team workshops in Gdańsk for 2-3 days.

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with DevOps skills and with a strong background in IT Service Management as well as data integrations, particularly with BMC Helix. The ideal candidate will also have substantial experience with data warehousing, data pipelines, and CI/CD processes. Expertise in SQL, Python, and a range of data storage systems will be crucial in designing scalable and reliable data solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and build a stable, scalable, near real-time and reliable data replication solution using BMC Helix.

• Maintain data architecture to ensure complete data collection and quality.

• Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines.

• Collaborate within a SAFe Scrum Team with aligned autonomy.

• Act as a subject matter expert, providing recommendations to IT and business stakeholders.

• Engage in competence and skill development with your manager and provide feedback to colleagues.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficient in IT Service Management data integrations (BMC Helix preferred).

• Expertise in Data Warehousing, storage, security, ETL (SSIS, Snowflake).

• Professional experience with SQL (T-SQL preferred), Python, and Apache Airflow.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Bamboo/Jenkins).

• Experience with MS SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Dataverse, etc.

• Lean-Agile trained or certified (Scrum or SAFe).

Nice to Have

• ITIL Foundation certification or proven experience in IT Service Management.
