Summary
The main purpose of this Business Analyst role is to facilitate the alignment between business needs and IT solutions within a banking context. The role aims to enhance operational efficiency through detailed requirement gathering and process optimization, ultimately supporting the successful delivery of IT projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Collecting, analyzing, agreeing on, and documenting business requirements.
Participating in IT projects by creating and verifying business requirements for compliance with the accepted solution architecture.
Preparing functional requirements specifications for both changed and newly designed IT systems.
Gathering information necessary for developing recommendations for business process changes and IT system modifications.
Documenting existing processes and optimizing them by proposing modifications and designing new processes.
Organizing and leading substantive workshops for internal bank needs, collaborating with Business, IT, PMO, and other areas involved in project work.
Supporting participants in the software development and change processes.
Developing necessary project documentation, including materials to support management decision-making.
Coordinating project work and participating in testing and implementations.
Actively sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
Taking actions to improve work efficiency for oneself and others.
Key Requirements:
Education in IT and/or Economics.
Experience in conducting business analyses within projects focused on migrating settlement systems to ISO 20022 format (e.g., Target, SWIFT, Sorbnet).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis and/or knowledge of business processes in the finance/banking sector.
Ability to understand and account for dependencies between business processes and IT systems in the context of the project.
Knowledge of business process modeling and data structures, with practical experience in documentation.
Familiarity with BPMN, UML, and experience using relevant software tools.
Nice to Have:
Ability to structure topics, quick learning capabilities, and the ability to work under time pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills and independence in problem-solving.
Ability to address complex issues in a business context by analyzing and synthesizing information to derive actionable conclusions and recommendations.
