AWS DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS-DevOps Migration Engineer at a senior level to support critical migration activities according to our target architecture and strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS tools, migration techniques, and best practices in cloud environments. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and solid experience in large-scale migration projects are essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities

The AWS - DevOps Migration Engineer will perform a variety of migration tasks including:

• Evaluate open-source opportunities and utilize native tools.

• Install software and prepare target environments.

• Execute migrations and manage cutover processes.

• Support containerization as well as implement infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Analyze, convert, and migrate databases using AWS services.

• Provide day-to-day operational support for AWS platform services.

• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS services for performance and reliability.

• Assist with platform maintenance, upgrades, optimization activities, and incident management.

• Develop documentation for onboarding, FAQs, and procedures.

• Help application teams define KPIs and set up monitoring.

Key Requirements

• Understanding of security best practices in CI/CD and cloud environments.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Expertise in large-scale cloud migration projects, particularly using the 6 Rs methodology.

• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies, including but not limited to AWS AFT, CloudFormation, Terraform, and GitHub.

• Familiarity with AWS Systems Manager and Ansible.

• Strong knowledge of IAM and NIST cloud security standards.

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and tools such as AWS Developer Tools.

• Ability to thrive in an international environment and manage stakeholder relationships.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS EKS.

• Knowledge of monitoring best practices using CloudWatch.

• Familiarity with AWS FinOps tools and AWS policy management.
