Project Overview
Join our Internal Logistics team as we enhance our factories by integrating a Warehouse Control System (WCS) based on the TrakSYS platform. This project aims to optimize and automate the flow of semi-finished and finished products, utilizing advanced technologies such as automatic storage and retrieval systems, autonomous mobile robots, and automated guided vehicles. You'll be a key player in large-scale global logistical projects, focusing primarily on Europe, Asia, and North America.
Responsibilities
- Cover the automation aspects for intralogistics technologies.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and support software systems, utilizing PLC, SCADA, and control systems.
- Manage the lifecycle of intralogistics technologies, including design, testing (FAT), installation, and commissioning (SAT).
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure compliance with design needs and automation guidelines.
- Participate in budgeting and craft tender materials for suppliers.
- Work closely with internal clients and stakeholders to understand their technical requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, mechanical, and electrical teams for seamless integration of systems.
- Stay informed about advancements in intralogistics technology and continuously enhance your skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on PLC programming experience, ideally within intralogistics solutions.
- Experience in Siemens Simatic Manager, TIA Portal, and WinCC version 7.5.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for complex issues.
- Effective communication skills for conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
