Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of KYC data by analyzing existing data, identifying gaps, collaborating with various teams, and implementing data governance standards.
Main Responsibilities
Analyze existing KYC data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
Work collaboratively with business and IT partners across business units to develop and implement data standards.
Participate in major projects related to the Group KYC Tool.
Create and maintain a Business Information Model (BIM) that aligns across the enterprise.
Monitor data quality metrics and report on findings to management.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues and escalate complex problems as necessary.
Provide consultative services to agile delivery teams, ensuring best practices in data governance.
Support the implementation of new KYC systems and processes, focusing on seamless data migration.
Utilize enterprise approved tools to develop reproducible data-flows for reporting.
Implement testing and monitor the quality of data-flows and reporting outputs.
Analyze and visualize complex data for multiple stakeholders.
Document data definitions, lineage, and quality rules.
Engage in data governance/stewardship communities of practice.
Contribute to data governance policy and procedure development.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality and efficiency.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in data management, data quality, or a related role, preferably within the financial services industry.
Proficient in advanced SQL queries and familiar with programming languages like Python, R, Java, or Scala.
Understanding of data taxonomy and ability to build small data models.
Experience with Power BI to produce reports.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experience in financial crime (AML/CTF, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and Sanctions).
Professional, organized, and structured work approach with a commitment to high-quality standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and methodologies is advantageous.
Experience with data migration and integration projects is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
