BPM Application Specialist (webMethods)
The BPM Application Specialist will primarily focus on ensuring the integrity and performance of webMethods BPM applications, overseeing migration processes and providing stabilisation and optimization across various environments.

Perform deep-dive analysis of incomplete or partially failed migration scenarios across webMethods versions (10.x to 11.1).
Identify and remediate inconsistencies across Integration Server, BPM Server, Universal Messaging, and My webMethods Server (MWS).
Validate process models, task lifecycles, event subscriptions, and data persistence across environments.
Analyse and correct historical data discrepancies within BPM process instances and task stores.
Design, develop, and optimise BPM process models, human tasks, and service orchestration flows.
Implement integrations using webMethods Integration Server, including SAP, JDBC, ARIBA and other adapters.
Develop and expose APIs aligned to enterprise API standards.
Implement exception handling, compensation logic, and SLA-based process monitoring.
Optimise performance across BPM execution engines and messaging infrastructure (UM).
Assume partial technical ownership of the webMethods BPM platform, including environment configuration, deployment governance, package management, performance tuning, and log analysis.
Support day-to-day production stability and incident resolution.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams for JVM tuning, clustering, and scaling strategies.
Ensure platform documentation and operational runbooks are maintained.
Analyse, validate, and remediate process instance data inconsistencies.
Support controlled migration and validation of historical records.
Implement controls to prevent recurrence of data corruption or orphaned task scenarios.
Conduct root cause analysis and document findings with structured remediation plans.
Align BPM implementations with enterprise integration standards and architecture guidelines.
Participate in design authority discussions and technical reviews.
Improve deployment pipelines and release management practices.
Contribute to long-term modernisation strategy (cloud readiness, containerisation where applicable).
Define and govern BPMN 2.0-compliant process models and case management patterns.
Design process-driven architecture patterns integrating CRM, ERP, and enterprise systems.
Contribute to long-term BPM platform roadmap planning and evaluation of BPM technologies.
5-7 years of experience in BPM applications, specifically webMethods.
Proven expertise in integration and process orchestration.
Strong understanding of API development and enterprise integration standards.
Experience in performance optimisation and issue remediation.
Technical proficiency in environment configuration and deployment governance.
Familiarity with cloud-based BPM solutions and containerisation.
Experience in SAP integrations and related technologies.
Knowledge of CI/CD practices for BPM deployment.
