QA Engineer

Join a team working on a high-performance, real-time platform in the digital entertainment space. For our client we’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer who treats quality as a shared engineering responsibility and isn’t afraid to dive deep into both code and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership over backend testing – from automation to test architecture.

What you’ll do:

• Own test strategy and automation for a key backend product area

• Design, build, and maintain automated tests (mainly API-level) using robust frameworks

• Monitor test pipelines integrated into CI/CD and ensure fast, reliable feedback

• Raise, track, and triage defects and edge cases in collaboration with engineers

• Perform occasional manual and exploratory testing to understand how the product behaves in real use

• Participate in architectural and quality discussions to ensure testability and reliability

• Provide clear reporting and maintain test coverage metrics

• Contribute to internal tools and support testing infrastructure

Tech stack & tools: Java / Scala / GitLab CI / REST APIs / Zephyr / BrowserStack / Gatling / Docker / Kubernetes / AWS / Kafka / Splunk / New Relic / Terraform

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles in Agile teams

• Strong programming and scripting skills – ideally in Java (Scala is a plus)

• Hands-on experience with backend/API testing

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks

• Experience with performance testing and cloud-native environments

• Understanding of monitoring, debugging, and infrastructure tools

• Proactive mindset, ownership attitude, and a sharp eye for quality
