About the Project

Our Client is a cutting-edge technology company building custom AI coding assistants and generative AI workflows for Fortune 500 companies. They compete with industry giants like Anthropic and OpenAI by delivering tailored, high-scale AI implementations.

As a Data Engineer, you will join the team led by a well-know Data Engineering specialist followed by over 120k users on Youtube. You will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, integrating complex datasets, and helping shape the future of their internal AI-driven developer tools. This is a unique opportunity to work on a “brownfield” project where you have a real impact on the architecture and product direction.

Your Role

• Data Ingestion & Integration: Building pipelines to ingest unstructured data (e.g., complex PDFs) and structured data into Snowflake.

• Modeling: Designing and implementing high-quality data models using dbt, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.

• Platform Synergy: Integrating Snowflake data with Palantir Foundry to support operational analytics for global clients (e.g., in the real estate and invoicing sectors).

• AI Feedback Loop: Using and providing feedback on our custom-built AI tools, helping the engineering team refine our coding assistants.

• Ownership: Proactively identifying bottlenecks and pushing back on suboptimal data modeling decisions.

Requirements

• Experience: 4-5 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.

• Core Tech: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (we value a solid baseline and understanding of “why” code works).

• Tools: Experience with Snowflake and dbt (or similar tools like BigQuery/Databricks/Postgres).

• Data Modeling: Practical knowledge of data warehousing and modeling best practices.

• Communication: Excellent English (written and spoken) to collaborate daily with the US-based team.

• Mindset: A high sense of ownership, willingness to learn new tools quickly, and the ability to think independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palantir Foundry (this is a rare skill – if you don’t know it, they will teach you!).

• Background in processing unstructured data (PDF parsing, OCR).
