This Full Stack Software Engineer (FE) position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate individual to join the Engineering team at Displate, and help design and implement the technical foundation, and user experience for tailored shopping experiences for our customers. This role requires a unique blend of talents and interests - system architecture, scalable design, performance optimization, and a passion for building robust, efficient systems.

This represents a thrilling prospect to contribute to one of the most rapidly expanding pop-culture e-commerce businesses and make a significant difference in the technical infrastructure of our operations.

Your responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable, user centric, and high-performance systems for Displate.com
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and frameworks to support the project’s requirements
• Develop high-level technical specifications and provide estimations for implementation
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Lead the development of core components for our user centric initiatives
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality across the team
• Optimise system performance and identify areas for improvement
• Participate in technical decision-making processes and contribute to the overall technical strategy
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Real Experience in Displate:

You will join a domain team composed of interdisciplinary specialists. Our tech stack includes:

• Next.js for the frontend
• Backend for Web pattern implemented in Java/Micronaut
• Services developed in various technologies
• A monolith built with PHP
• Infrastructure hosted on AWS
• Kubernetes

General expectations

Your skills & experience

• 3+ years of experience with SPA applications 
• Fluency of using HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), JavaScript (ES6 +), TypeScript and React
• Good understanding of Next.js along with commercial experience
• Ability to work on straightforward topics using Java for backend development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with database systems (both SQL and NoSQL) is a plus
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD
• Fluency in version control system operations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong skills in English both spoken and written
• Extra points for 3d/webgl/three.js knowledge 
• Ecommerce experience is a plus
• If you are from Warsaw: hybrid model of working, 3 days per week from the Warsaw office
