DevOps (ELK)

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who would like to join our team in implementing various projects for our client, who specializes in supporting and managing hosted cloud applications and accounts

Responsibilities:

• As DevOps you will be overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and administration of ElasticSearch clusters, with a focus on infrastructure;
• You will be monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues within the ElasticSearch environment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime;
• You will be staying up-to-date with new features and licensing requirements to provide recommendations for improvements or transitions to cloud-based solutions;
• You will be configuring ElasticSearch to meet security, monitoring and data management needs, utilizing both open-source and licensed features;
• You will be leveraging your expertise in NoSQL databases to support and enhance the ElasticSearch infrastructure, ensuring smooth integration and performance across various components of the system;
• You will be participating in scheduled meetings with teams in the US and other international regions;
• You will be working in flexible hours, with a preference for a schedule that aligns with European time and US evenings.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with ELK Stack – ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana;
• Strong experience with NoSQL databases;
• In-depth knowledge of ElasticSearch administration and configuration;
• Proven ability to manage large log stacks, combine them into data streams, and configure ElasticSearch for performance optimization;
• Flexibility to work in USA time zones, with overlapping meetings as required.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE);
• Familiarity with the licensed version of ElasticSearch (X-Pack);
• Experience working with APM and other security add-ons;
• Obtained Cloud certifications - Elastic Cloud, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
