YOUR ROLE

SDA Engineering & Operations:

You provide senior-level Cisco SDA engineering support, operating as an individual contributor within an existing service team, focusing on incident resolution, service requests, and non-standard SDA solutions while adhering to established standards and governance.

Incident & Problem Management (Tier 3):

You investigate and resolve complex SDA-related incidents, including fabric connectivity issues, VXLAN/LISP control plane anomalies, DNA Center assurance faults, ISE/TrustSec policy enforcement problems, wireless fabric issues, and general performance degradation. You actively participate in Major Incident resolution, perform deep-dive troubleshooting, support root cause analysis, and recommend preventative actions.

Advanced Troubleshooting:

You conduct packet flow analysis, validate control and data planes, analyze DNA Center telemetry, and implement approved remediation actions to reduce MTTR and improve platform stability.

Service Requests & Operational Changes:

You execute standard and complex operational requests such as virtual network creation, IP pool management, Anycast gateway changes, fabric port assignments, wireless AP onboarding, and policy updates. You validate changes in DNA Center and ISE, follow change management processes, perform post-change validation, and support rollback when required.

Non-Standard SDA Solutions:

You design and implement approved exceptions including legacy device integration, non-fabric attached devices, special routing or NAT requirements, OT/IoT use cases, and custom segmentation or policy exceptions. You perform impact analysis, propose solution options with risk assessment, and document implementation outcomes.

Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center) Operations:

You maintain operational stability of the SDA management platform by supporting health monitoring, assurance investigations, image and configuration compliance remediation, upgrades, patching, backup/restore activities, and troubleshooting automation or workflow failures. You coordinate with Cisco TAC when necessary.

ISE & Policy Operations:

You support identity and segmentation services by assisting with policy tuning, authentication and authorization troubleshooting, pxGrid and TrustSec issues, onboarding of new users or devices, and validating policy enforcement across the SDA fabric.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

You produce incident resolution notes, RCA findings, change records, validation results, and operational documentation, ensuring knowledge continuity across teams.

Collaboration & Delivery Excellence:

You work closely with network, security, and identity teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, provide weekend on-call support for Major Incidents, and contribute to continuous improvement by strengthening reliability, performance, and operational readiness of enterprise SDA environments.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access)

• Deep knowledge of VXLAN, LISP, DNA Center (Catalyst Center)

• Solid experience with Cisco ISE / TrustSec / segmentation policies

• Advanced troubleshooting skills (fabric connectivity, control & data plane, packet analysis)

• Experience handling Tier-3 incidents, RCA, and Major Incident support

• Practical experience implementing SDA service requests and operational changes

• Ability to design and deliver non-standard SDA solutions (legacy, IoT/OT, custom policies)

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals

• English C1/C2
