Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in JAVA QA Automation and extensive experience in functional and regression testing. As part of the team, you will be responsible for creating test plans, automating test cases, ensuring overall test quality, and collaborating with the development team to resolve defects. Location: Krakow, Poland (Hybrid)

Rate: 1100-1250 PLN per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test plans for functional and regression testing.
• Automate applicable test cases for regression testing using JAVA.
• Perform testing and identify defects, collaborating with the scrum team to resolve issues.
• Ensure overall test quality for both functional and regression testing.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the test team.
• Provide input for release milestones and coordinate test planning and execution (FFT, SIT, CVT, performance, load tests, etc.).
• Generate reports related to product quality metrics and provide quality-related inputs on go/no-go decisions for each release (including promotion to INT, CVT & prod environments).
• Actively participate in scrum ceremonies and update status in Rally daily.
• Ensure that test cases cover 100% of new functionality, with traceability from story cards to test cases.
• Engage in the sizing process and participate in solution discussions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and quality metrics.
• Provide input and feedback on test plans and execution to ensure the highest quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of technical experience in quality engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation, particularly with JAVA.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, or similar technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Java and experience working in Java-based environments.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, quality processes, and industry standards.
• Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting of functional and regression tests.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a Scrum team and take an active role in the quality process.
• Familiarity with tools like Rally for daily status updates.
• Experience in performance and load testing is a plus.
